Weather

The best time to visit Vietnam can be a little difficult to decide as there are so many different areas. Vietnam’s weather is complicated. The best time to tour the whole of Vietnam is in the low season from April to June or from September to November. There is a small chance of typhoons here but temperatures are generally moderate and rainfall is lighter.

The shoulder season is December to March and the whole nation is travelling at this time because of Tet (Vietnam’s New Year celebrations with family). The weather is cool north of Nha Trang in the south and up near Sapa, it really is cold. Freezing in fact.

Expect prices to rise by up to 50% on the coast in July and August when it’s high season. It’s hot and humid across the country and rainfall is heavy when the Summer monsoon arrives.
