Food

You can eat Western in South Africa. Restaurants and Supermarkets all sell Western food, and we ate a lot from the choices in the deli counters, with cooked chicken and sautéed vegetables - it was healthier if anything.
Biltong, is a dried salty meat from mainly Antelope and a traditional food from the country. Apparently it's an acquired taste.
BBQ's a very popular with the hostels, although they are called Braai's. As many different types of meat as you can think of; always with a large selection of sausages.
