Weather

The Philippines has only two distinct seasons: wet season and dry season.  The best time to visit the Philippines is between January and May when the chance of rain is lessened. If you want to narrow it down further, you will find March to May the hottest and driest period of the year.  So if you are backpacking or travelling through the Philippines and want to avoid the rain as much as possible this is the best time to visit.

November to February is cool, while March to May is hot and dry. June to October is rainy, and also considered to be typhoon season. Watch out for that as typhoons can be devastating.  We would suggest this is not the best time to visit the Philippines, choose another time to go if you can.

The average temperature is 78 degrees F / 25 degrees C. The average humidity is 77%. Overall, leave your winter coat at home and pack your t-shirts and shorts.
