Transport

The distances between places in Peru are huge. There are many bus companies making regular trips between cities and along the Pan-American highway (a highway going all the way from north to south Peru along the coast). A bus journey from Lima to Cusco can take around 20 hours, so if you are not flexible with time it may be worth booking flights (which if done in advance can turn out the same price than taking the bus).
