Many describe L.A.’s weather as “unbeatable” and rightly so. A typical day in L.A. welcomes lots of sunshine, warmth and the cool ocean breeze. The humidity is generally low and it rarely actually rains in the City of Angels!
There is really are no unpleasant or “avoidable” seasons in L.A.. However, to beat the crowds and enjoy milder heat March to May and September to November are the best times to visit. July is the hottest month with averages of 22 degrees celsius and the coldest is January at 13 degrees.
The summer months of June through August marks the peak tourist season with relatively expensive hotel and flight rates. Smog levels tend to skyrocket during this period too. On the plus side the summer months welcome several fun festivals and outdoor activities.
