The L.A. area is served by five major airports and more than a dozen private airports (to no surprise with all it’s entertainment glamour). The five major airports are located in Los Angeles, Burbank, Santa Ana, Long Beach, and Ontario.
Known to many Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is the major international hub serving flights to destinations all over the world. The most cost efficient and direct way to get into the city is via the airport shuttle bus directly to your hotel/destination or the LAX FlyAway. LAX FlyAway runs directly from the airport terminal to Union Station - Downtown L.A. (approximately $10 for a one-way fare), Hollywood Bl, Santa Monica and Westwood.
There are also local buses and airport taxi services that connect to the city - there are signs located across the airport with directions to access these services.
Union Station is L.A.’s the main station served by Amtrak, the hub of the Metrolink network, and it is well-served by the Los Angeles Metro (Red Line). Various coaches arrive and depart from the Downtown L.A. area including the Greyhound and Bolt Bus.
