When to go

There is not really a ‘best’ time to visit London. The city really does run all year round and the often lamentable weather means there is rarely a time when it’s too hot or too cold.

Temperatures in winter go as low as -5 (Celsius) and in summer up to around 30. London is one of the greenest major cities in the world with hundreds of parks within the capital including the huge open spaces of Richmond Park, Hyde Park and Hampstead Heath – in spring and summer these are particularly picturesque, although a crisp winters day in London is hard to beat.

Basically, come when you can and dress accordingly, you won’t be disappointed.
