London has an extensive public transport. The London Underground (The Tube) is the oldest transit system of its kind in the world and serves over 270 separate destinations. As well as this many other trains are available in the city and further out as well as hundreds of bus routes, trams, boats (on The Thames) and even a cable car. Make sure you check travel times when leaving the middle of London late on, as some of the services that go further out don’t run all night and you don’t want to get stranded and rely on the very slow night busses or expensive taxis. Taxis in London, the Black Cabs, can be found at any time in any area, Uber also serves the city, so it’s never hard to get to where you need to.
